Preschool Activities – Ages 3-5
Sports
Fridley Recreation sports programs are designed for kids who want to learn basic skills while being active and having fun! Instructors focus on teaching age-appropriate fundamentals while encouraging teamwork.

Family Open Gym
Feeling cooped up inside? Bring your kids out to the gym for some activity. This is a perfect time for parents and children to interact and get the wiggles out! Family open gym makes playing together easy. Enjoy free play with balls, hoops, scooters, jump ropes, and more!
No pre-registration required. (Requires at least one adult over the age of 18 and one child under the age of 18 to participate).
Fee: Drop‐in fee: $2 per child or $4 per family
5 visit Punch Card: $5 per child or $10 per family
Dates: Saturdays: January 7 - April 1, 10:15 a.m. - 12:15 p.m.

Elementary School Activities
After School Programs - Gr. K-4
The following classes are offered after-school at Hayes Elementary School (615 Mississippi St NE) from 3:45–5:15 p.m. to youth in grades K-4 (unless noted otherwise). Classes typically run for five or six weekly sessions. All students will be given a snack from School Nutritional Services before class starts. Bussing is available from Stevenson Elementary. All students must be picked up at Hayes Elementary after class at 5:15 p.m. (We do not provide transportation home).

- Tue. - Dance and Cheer (Gr. K-4)
- Wed. - Slimy, Gooey, Sticky (Gr. K-4)

- Wed. - Pinterest Party! - Think Spring! Arts & Crafts (Gr. K-4)

Field Trips – Gr. K-5
Join us for a winter adventure! Transportation will be provided from Hayes Elementary School.
Safety Camp - Gr. 2-5
Children will get a behind-the-scenes look at the Police and Fire Departments while learning and experiencing safety! Topics may include: fire, seat belt, animals, electrical, bicycle, first aid, water, weather and 911! This camp will be held at Fridley Civic Campus (7071 University Ave NE) -rain or shine. The registration fee includes leadership, supplies, bike helmet, t-shirt, tote bag, snacks and lunch. Graduation ceremony to follow camp!

Interested in trying a new sport? We invite teens to join one of the fastest growing sports in the country! Clinics are designed to give you a sample of the sport while focusing on the fundamentals. We will cover rules and basic techniques to get you started. Equipment will be provided if needed.

Fridley Youth Sports Association (FYSA)
Fridley Youth Sports Association (FYSA) promotes youth sports in Fridley, providing opportunities for all youth to participate in competitive and recreational team sports. FYSA is a non-profit organization relying solely on parent volunteers. Current sports offered through FYSA include Baseball, Basketball, Football, Softball and Soccer.

The City of Fridley supports the FYSA by providing field space and maintenance but does not coordinate the leagues or handle registration.
Spring Lake Park Lacrosse Association (SLPYLA)
SLPYLA provides lacrosse opportunities for youth in Spring Lake Park and surrounding communities. Registration, season information and more can be found on their website. Please visit SpringLakeParkLacrosse.org for more information.
